Hello Facebook friends!

I have been recently added as one of our administrators on the Elcometer Facebook business fan page. I want to make sure we continue to grow our Facebook social network. In order to do so I am asking for your help. I have found that the training videos are a huge success and have been viewed by many of you. I want to make sure that you receive the information you are looking for. I hate to just bore you with nothing but technical data. We have been trying to mix it up and our sales staff posts things that interest them or things that are just for fun.

ODD NEWS!!!!!!!

"Wis. man gets probation in dirty diaper theft"

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – An Amherst man accused of trying to steal dirty diapers from a home has been sentenced to 30 months of probation. Dillon Makuski, 20, was convicted of possession of burglary tools. The Stevens Point Journal reports Makuski also must serve 200 hours of community service and undergo a psycho-sexual examination.
Makuski was detained by the homeowner after entering an Amherst home last September. A Portage County sheriff's deputy found six dirty diapers in Makuski's pockets.

Testing drinkable yogurts...

Pro-biotic drinkable yogurt is big business today with healthy living being an important issue worldwide. With so many of these types of products on supermarket shelves, it is essential that manufacturers can distinguish
themselves from the rest, not just by taste, but also by the consistency of the product and how easy it is to drink.

Dannon is aware of this fact and this is why they invested in the Elcometer 2352 AFNOR Viscosity Cups, to provide the perfect quality control tool that ensures the finished drinkable yogurt is indeed drinkable.

Elcometer are pleased to announce the launch of their new Elcometer 148 pH Tester, a simple, easy to use instrument which measures both pH and temperature simultaneously, using a single sensor.

User switchable between ºC and ºF, both pH and temperature readings are displayed on screen, and min / max readings can be recorded over a series of tests.

Permacel P-99 adhesion tape!

Many of you may remember the blog I did a couple months ago advising that Permacel P-99 was being discontinued. Elcometer has hired an outside laboratory to perform a study on the different adhesion tapes that have been used during this down period. The lab results are in. To see the results you will have to sign up for our April Newsletter that will be launched on April 16th, 2010. The project was initiated to characterize the peel adhesion property of five samples submitted.

Service with a Smile

Every business needs a Jonathan.

Have you ever experienced incredible service? Not just a brief smile and a “let me know if I can help you,” but the type of service where someone goes out of their way to provide you with the best experience possible with their company.

Maybe it was the shoe salesman at the retail store, the pizza delivery guy, or the customer service representative on the phone. If you’ve ever had the opportunity to experience quality service, then you know the type of impression it makes.
