Elcometer 138 Bresle Test Kit

The Bresle method has become one of the most recognized tests for measuring surface salts in the coatings industry. The test was developed to measure soluble salt concentration on surfaces prior to blasting and coating. Not only ISO but also IMO, NAVSEA and ASTM have adopted this method.
The Bresle test can be performed quickly using the Elcometer 138 Bresle Test Kit and testing costs are highly economical. The kit is supplied with all the necessary items including the 138 Bresle patches, syringes, distilled water, calibration solution and conductivity meter.
Easy to Use: The Elcometer Bresle Patch is adhered to the test surface and distilled water is injected under the patch using a syringe. The water is flushed between the patch and the substrate, which causes the soluble salts on the test surface to be dissolved into the water. The fluid is extracted and its conductivity measured, determines the amount of soluble salts.

Did you know .....
how to convert ppm to mg/cm2 ?
To convert ppm to mg/cm2 you multiply the concentration of salts in solution (ppm) by the volume of extract liquid (milliliters) and divide that by the surface area sampled (square centimeters). The result is micrograms per square centimeter, expressed as mg/cm2.
